Whether buying or selling the Going Coastal Realty team is here for you.
Broker in Charge
Michele is Broker in Charge and Owner of Going Coastal Realty. She is from the mountains of North Carolina, a small town called North Wilkesboro. She has been married to Dolphin Overton for over 32 years, his family is from Andrews and Charleston, so we knew we would eventually get back to the Low Country. Dolphin was a Navy Pilot for 11 years and now flies for FedEx. We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren, all of which love the water. Like everyone else here our favorite pastime is boating or just being on the water. Once you “Go Coastal” it’s hard to ever leave!
Lauren Overton and her husband, who is a police officer, moved to the Low Country in 2013. She grew up in a military family living in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, and is proud to now call Georgetown home.
Lauren graduated from North Carolina State University, where she studied Psychology and is a member of the Alpha Kappa chapter of Chi Omega.
Lauren enjoys coastal living and is looking forward to working with you and encourages you to “Go Coastal with us at Going Coastal!”
I am a native of Georgetown, SC, and have lived in the Historic District most of my life. Growing up my summers were spent in Pawleys Island getting my tan on the beach, inner-tubing down the creek, or water skiing in the Waccamaw River. The salt gets under your skin and you can never get away from it. That’s the reason my husband and I came “home” after our last son went to Clemson. Can you tell which team we support? I finished Columbia College (a small Methodist girl’s school, we called the “convent”) in three years, married my high school sweetheart, taught school, started a family, worked with Social Services and was a MOM.
I started my real estate career in 1994. Having worked in Pawleys Island for several years and living in Georgetown, I know the area like the palm of my hand. My entire real estate career is based on one word, INTEGRITY. After that, I use my in-depth knowledge of the area to introduce and show clients all the properties available that meet their criteria. Once this property is found and due diligence has started, it is my job to guide and advise the client through the maze of challenges to a successful and knowledgeable acquisition of that very special property whether it is a home, condo, lot or acreage. Each client is different and each acquisition is different and the joy of my job is meshing the two.
